Lina Menshi, After School Program Assistant

Lina joined SCN’s Education team as the After School Program Assistant in fall 2022 - the same year she and her family were resettled in Chicago through the federal refugee program. Born in Iraq, Lina graduated from college with a degree in accounting. She speaks Arabic, Assyrian, English, and some French. Her family was forced to leave Iraq in 2014 and lived in Turkey until they were selected for resettlement in the U.S. At SCN, Lina loves helping the kids and focuses on assisting them with homework and language development in both Arabic and English.
