Kiersten Nickel, LMSW Education Case Manager

Kiersten is a licensed social worker and joined SCN in May of 2023 after graduating with her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with a focus in Migration Studies. Previously, she received her Bachelors from DePaul University, majoring in International Studies and Peace, Justice, & Conflict Studies. She has worked in a variety of refugee resettlement, youth development, and global education environments. Kiersten has a passion for welcoming newcomers to Chicago and is motivated to support members of this community in reaching their educational goals. At SCN Kiersten is an education case manager and works in community with schools and families to ensure access to educational resources and opportunities.
