Amr Othman Agha, Director of Case Management

Amro was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business, Finance, and Investment Management. Before leaving Syria in 2013, he worked for 15 years at the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2016, Amro was resettled in California through the U.S. refugee program and moved to Chicago later that year. He studied English at multiple colleges after his arrival to achieve professional fluency. Through his experiences, Amro fulfils his role at SCN with empathy and deep understanding of families’ needs. He began as a Case Manager at SCN in 2017, helping clients manage their public benefits, accessing healthcare, navigate new systems, and created and maintains our workforce development program. Amro was promoted in 2022 to Director of Case Management to oversee the department.
