Syrian civilians in Eastern Ghouta are clinging desperately to life as a Syrian government assault on the town near the capital of Damascus has left over 1,000 dead and 4,800 wounded since the attacks began on February 18, according to Doctors Without Borders. These figures do not include all of the organization’s facilities supported by the humanitarian group.
